Halloween at our house
October 31, 2006 by Merri Williams
Just a few days ago, I mentioned how I have always enjoyed seeing the creativity and ingenuity of moms as they scramble to create just the “right” Halloween costume for their children. Well, I also enjoy watching my daughters as well each year, as they seek to come up with the very best home-designed costumes that they can. This year was no exception.
Our youngest daughter, Faith, who often assists me in class and is responsible for many of the wonderful photos of my students on this blog, has discovered a new career for herself - Madam Gypsy Fortune-teller!
Faith was joined by her sister, Rebekah, who has discovered the 60’s and “Flower Power”! “Peace out, man!” was her mantra tonight.
We have trick-or-treated from Decatur to Lithonia to Conyers and back. We’ve carved our jack-o-lantern who is smiling brightly right now in our kitchen window. And everyone is now piled up in our den watching our favorite Halloween video “It’s the Great Pumpkin, Charlie Brown!”
I hope you and your family had a wonderful time Trick-or-Treating, too, and I’m really looking forward to hearing all about your Halloween fun in our next classes. Just a reminder that there will be no classes this Thursday as I will be in Greensboro, North Carolina this weekend for the Kindermusik Educators convention. See you next week!
