I LOVE the month of October! The weather starts to change, the mornings are a little nippy and the air is brisk and clear here in Atlanta after months of smog and grey and white skies.
Tonight as we returned home, we traveled up Ga. Hwy. 212 and just before crossing back into DeKalb County, we topped the high ridge there at the county-line and realized that we could see the Atlanta skyline once again. Hurray!
Thanks to the jet stream and air sent our way from our Canadian neighbors, the air is clean and crystal clear at night.
This video from Youtube.com of the Aurora Borealis (Northern Lights) as seen in British Columbia just last month reminded me of how beautiful the night skies are and how much we miss by being a metropolitan area filled with so much congestion, traffic, motorized vehicles, and smog! I hope you enjoy it as much as I did!
