Although this is the season of the year most commonly associated with joy, happiness, and family togetherness, I know all too well on a personal level that it can be a very difficult experience for anyone who has lost a loved one in the past year.
Tonight I learned about the Miller family who lost their 3-year-old son, Kyle, in a car accident in May, 2005. Just last month, they posted an important video on Youtube.com that I am compelled to share with all of my families because I *care* about your children. Please watch and learn about the importance of using the correct car seat *and* car seat installation for your child/ren.
To have your child’s car seat checked for safety and correct installation, please visit SeatCheck, an online locator service to find a car seat inspector for your child’s car seat. This is a *FREE* service. The locator includes a list of organizations and other entities that offer seat inspections. It is the most comprehensive list of inspection resources throughout the country. Many of these locations are neighborhood fire stations and health centers already in your area. It doesn’t cost anything and it just may save your child’s life.
